Free Puzzle Games

Puzzle games are the backbone of this site. They are the ones our kids come back to on rainy afternoons, and the ones that are hardest to get right. A puzzle either clicks in your head or it does not, and there is nowhere for sloppy design to hide.

The collection here leans toward words and deduction. Associations hands you sixteen items and asks you to find the four hidden groups of four. Word Vault gives you six tries at a five-letter word, and Semantix ranks every guess by how close it is in meaning to a secret word. Shut The Box turns each dice roll into quick mental arithmetic, and DidUSeeIt? flashes an AI-generated image for a split second and asks what you saw. Every one of them runs in the browser, saves nothing you did not ask it to save, and is free to play.

About Free AI Games

Free AI Games is a small family-run site of original browser games. A dad and his two kids build them in vanilla JavaScript using AI coding assistants as collaborators, not as the source of the games, but as a tool the way a carpenter uses a power sander. Every game runs in the browser with no install, no signup, and no app store.

What you'll find here

A growing catalogue of small, focused games. Puzzles like Semantix, Word Vault, and Associations. Arcade games like Hoop Flyer and Stacked. Card games (Cribbage, Solitaire Classics), prize-wheel games (Monster Drop), and odd experiments like DidUSeeIt?. Most games take two minutes to learn and ten minutes to play.

Built to load fast

Each game is plain HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript. No engine, no framework, no download. Pages typically render in under a second on a normal connection because there is no engine runtime to ship to your browser. We wrote a longer post about why if you're curious about the trade-offs.

Safe and (mostly) family-friendly

No accounts, no chat, no user-generated content. We use Google Analytics for basic traffic stats and a simple play counter per game, and that's it. The bulk of the catalogue is suitable for kids, and anything with humour aimed more at grown-ups is noted as such. Full details in the privacy policy.

Every game is sorted into a category with its own page, so you can go straight to the kind of game you're in the mood for.
