Whack-a-Mole Online
Game Overview
A 3D take on the classic fairground game. Twenty levels of moles that get faster and sneakier, plus golden moles worth bonus points, bombs you must not hit, and armoured moles that take two whacks.
How to Play
Click or tap a mole to whack it before it drops back into its hole. Hit moles in a row to build a combo multiplier. Golden moles are worth a big bonus, armoured moles need two hits, and bombs cost you points and break your combo â look before you swing. Campaign mode runs twenty levels with score targets; quick play is a timed sprint; endless runs until you lose your lives.
About Whack-a-Mole Pro
Whack-a-Mole online is the fairground classic rebuilt in 3D and playable free in your browser. Moles pop up from a field of holes; you have a fraction of a second to hit each one before it drops back down. Simple to start, genuinely demanding by level fifteen.
Not every mole is a mole. Ordinary brown moles are your bread and butter. Golden moles appear rarely and are worth a large bonus, so drop whatever you are doing and hit one the moment it shows. Armoured moles wear a helmet and need two hits, which is a genuine problem when three other things are up at once. And bombs look tempting and cost you if you hit them â the single fastest way to end a good run is a reflexive swing at something you did not actually look at.
How to actually get good. Beginners watch the mole they are hitting. Better players watch the holes they are not hitting, because that is where the next one is coming from. Keep your eyes wide and let your hand follow â chasing with your eyes is always a beat too slow.
Build a combo and your score multiplier climbs, so a clean run of six is worth far more than six scattered hits. That makes the bomb penalty worse than it looks: you do not just lose points, you lose the multiplier you spent twenty seconds building. When the board gets crowded late in a level, it is often correct to deliberately let a far mole go rather than rush and clip a bomb.
Three ways to play. Campaign runs twenty levels, each with a score target and progressively nastier spawn rates â by the end you are facing five moles at once with under a second of up-time each. Quick play is a fixed sprint for a personal best. Endless gives you lives and runs until you lose them, with difficulty that keeps climbing past anything the campaign throws at you.
It runs entirely in the browser with WebGL â no download, no plugin, no account. Progress and best scores are saved in your own browser, so clearing your data resets them.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you play Whack-a-Mole?
Moles pop out of holes and you click or tap them before they drop back down. Consecutive hits build a combo multiplier, so accuracy is worth more than raw speed.
What are the golden and armoured moles?
Golden moles are rare and worth a large bonus, so hit them immediately. Armoured moles wear a helmet and take two hits. Bombs also appear from level one and cost you points plus your combo if you hit them.
How many levels are there?
The campaign runs twenty levels. Spawn rate, the number of moles up at once, and the chance of bombs and armoured moles all increase as you go. There is also a quick-play sprint and an endless mode with lives.
Is it free to play?
Yes, completely free with no download and no account. It runs in any modern browser on phone, tablet or desktop.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Tap instead of click. The 3D scene scales to your screen, though a larger screen makes the later levels noticeably easier when five moles are up at once.
Are my scores saved?
Best scores and unlocked levels are stored in your own browser, not on a server. Clearing your browser data will reset them.
